07 December 2011: Halford villagers raise a further £400 for Ettington CFR Scheme

On Wednesday 7th December 2011, Halford villagers presented Ettington CFR Team with a cheque for £400.

This followed  a concerted and focussed fundraising campaign within the village under the tireless work of Halford resident, Mrs Ann Harris.
The cheque was presented to five members of Ettington CFR Scheme at a small ceremony at Halford Village Hall attended by twenty-two Halford villagers; all of whom were involved in the fundraising initiative.

Until recently, Ettington CFR team has covered Halford through its Community First Responders in Newbold-on-Stour and Ettington.  However, following a year of preparation and training, our 9th Community First Responder, Philippa, went live.  As Philippa lives in Halford, this will provide an even higher level of cover for the village by Ettington CFR Scheme.  Since the Scheme began, its First Responders have been called to 23 ‘999’ incidents in Halford and nearby Idlicote.
